How We Work
A workshop measured by what comes back on the bench, not what's promised at the counter.
Scope Agreed in Writing
No work proceeds until you have reviewed and signed off the scope. Changes are discussed and documented before they happen.
Condition Report with Every Job
Full mechanical services include a written condition report with timing results recorded before and after regulation.
Pressure Testing Included
After every full mechanical service, gaskets are renewed and the case is pressure-tested to its original rating.
Original Parts Returned
In restoration work, every component that is replaced comes back to you alongside the finished watch, with notes on what was found.
Maintained Service Records
Collection retainer clients receive a running record per piece, covering service history, movement notes and next recommended intervals.
Klang Valley Collection
Retainer clients can arrange collection and return within the Klang Valley at each scheduled visit, without needing to travel to the workshop.
Bring Your Watch In for Assessment
Whether you own a working piece that is overdue a service or something that has been sitting unworn for years, we will give you a clear picture of what is needed before any commitment is made.
Common Questions
How do I know if my watch needs a full mechanical service?
A common indicator is a watch losing or gaining more than a minute per day when it previously kept reasonable time. Other signs include a crown that feels gritty to wind, a rotor that does not spin freely, or a movement that stops without apparent cause. If the watch has not been serviced in ten years or more, a check is usually worthwhile regardless of how it seems to be running.
What does the vintage restoration programme cover?
The programme begins with a photographic condition survey so you have a clear record before anything is touched. From there, scope is agreed in writing and may include movement servicing, case work that respects original lines, crystal replacement, and dial or hand refurbishment coordinated through specialist facilities. Parts sourced through established channels are documented and any replaced component comes back with the finished watch.
How long does a full mechanical service take?
The standard turnaround for a full mechanical service is six to eight working days from when the watch arrives at the bench. Restoration work varies — four to eight weeks is typical, depending largely on parts availability. At the start of any restoration, we give you a realistic estimate for your specific piece rather than a number that changes later.
What is included in the collection care retainer?
The annual retainer covers up to six watches and includes two scheduled timing checks per piece, water-resistance verification, bracelet and strap inspection, battery renewal for quartz movements, and storage advice suited to humidity conditions in Malaysia. Within the Klang Valley, collection and return is arranged at each visit. You receive a maintained record for every watch, listing each service visit, movement observations and the recommended next interval.
Do you work on watches from any brand or only specific makes?
We attend to hand-wound and self-winding wristwatches from private owners regardless of brand. Vintage pieces from the 1940s onward are within our scope for restoration work. The assessment at the start of any job will tell us whether we can take it on or whether there is a more appropriate referral for highly specialised manufacturer tooling.
Is my watch covered while it is with you?
Full mechanical services carry twelve months of workmanship cover on the labour performed, meaning if the same fault reappears within that period due to a servicing issue, we attend to it at no further charge. We handle watches in our care with appropriate precautions, and you are welcome to ask about our intake and storage procedures before dropping anything off.
